Getting Started with the Analytics Module

You'll want to set a few things up to get the best results from the Analytics Module. Follow the prompts to get started.

  1. If you are planning to use Analytics to check EMS incident compliance, you'll need to set up your EMS certifications history in the Personnel section of the Administration Module. Otherwise, your EMS incidents will be invalid.
  2. Start out by selecting which compliance setting you would like to use.
  3. Select a standard from the dropdown. NFPA 1710 (Fire & EMS) and 1720 (Fire Only) are the default options.
    • If you select a Fire option, your data will automatically be filtered down to 100 series incidents only.
    • If you select an EMS option, your data will be automatically filtered down to 300 series incidents only.
  4. You can change the values in the default fields above. Then select Create Custom Setting to name and save your own standard.
  5. Click Apply to run your data against the standard you selected.
  6. Use the Filters panel to narrow your incident data by station, zone, response mode, incident type and more! 
  7. Use the Group By Options to change how your data is viewed on the graph:
    • Use the first option to change your metric of measurement.
    • Use the second option to drill down into your data.
  8. Click directly on the chart to drill down to a specific date or time. Use the breadcrumbs that will appear in the upper-left corner to get back to the broader view.
  9. Use the sliders to make adjustments on the fly.
    • Average Response Time connects to either travel time or response time, depending on your setting.
    • Percentage Of Compliance allows you to set a percentage threshold for your view.
