Which Agencies Can Access Our Data?

This article will show you how to set which agencies can access what parts of your data.

  1. Navigate to the Administration module.

  2. Click Agencies That We Have Access To.

  3. Click the Add New Agency button.

  4. Add your preferred Agency Name

  5. Enter the FDID, which is the 5-digit Fire Department identification code for the agency that will have access to your department's data. NOTE: Only one ID number is needed, FDID or EMSID.

  6. Or, enter EMSID which is the EMS identification code for the agency that will have access to your department's data.

  7. Select your preferred state from dropdown list.

  8. Select the data components you wish to share. These can include the following:

    • Apparatus: Selecting None will not allow sharing of information in this module. Read-Only allows for the sharing of apparatus lists for reports via the Reports module.

    • Hydrants: Selecting None will not allow sharing of information in this module. Read-Only allows for the sharing of hydrants lists for reports via the Hydrants module.

    • Incidents: Selecting Read-Only allows for the sharing of incident lists for reports via the reports module. It also allows for mutual / automatic aid links between mutual / automatic aid sent vs. mutual / automatic aid received. When both agencies are set to Read Only, all Emergency Reporting customers in a region can then tie multiple calls together. The main purpose of this link is to show all apparatus on scene, and not be limited to just those that were sent from the host agency.

    • Occupancy: Read-Only allows for Occupancy Inspectionsforms to be shared between friend agencies. This means that when creating a new form, the friend agency has the option of copying form data from their own account and also from the friends list of completed and locked inspections forms. Once created, the forms can then be modified without impacting the original form that came from the friend.

    • Personnel: Read-Only allows for the sharing of personnel lists for reports via the reports module.

  9. Make sure you click the save disk to save your choices!

You have now learned how to set up what agencies can see what parts of your data.
