This article will give a brief overview of the Calendar Module.
The Calendar Module will display date-specific items that have been entered into other parts of the system (such as Inspections, Events, and Training). Shifts are displayed in the upper left corner of each day by color of the shift scheduled for that day. The following date-specific information currently displays in the Calendar:
- Calendar Items (manually entered)
- Occupancy Inspections
- Training Classes (scheduled and completed)
- Shifts (this is based on the shifts you create in the Shifts Module)
There are three steps to setting up the Calendar.
1. Enable modules to display
Within the Calendar Module, use the Legend in the upper left-hand corner to turn items on or off. For example, click on ‘Events’ to enable or disable display on the calendar. A "big bold" square means that an item is enabled, while a "small subdued" square means that the item is disabled for calendar.
NOTE: The information you select to display will pull from the modules from which items were created. Refer to the Legend to identify which colored items on the calendar refer to which module.
2. Specify the year and month to display
When the Calendar Module is accessed each time, the month displayed will always default to the current month. Other months can be viewed by clicking on the date at the top of the calendar, or by using the arrow controls to the right and left of the date selector.
3. Manage and review items
As well as module information displaying by enabling modules in Step 1, individual items can be manually added for Calendar display.
For step by step instructions for this, see the article on "Add Items to the Calendar"
Congratulations, you're all set to start using the Calendar!
